The Peter B. Vaill Facultyship Award
The Peter B. Vaill Facultyship Award was established at the UNC Pembroke School of Business to honor the rich tradition of outstanding and dedicated faculty members by honoring a nationally recognized scholar known for his innovative approaches to managerial leadership and organizational behavior.
Candidates for the Facultyship Award are faculty members in the UNC Pembroke School of Business in at least their second year of instructing. Named in his honor, this award is intended to be bestowed each year on a faculty member who demonstrates overall excellence in teaching, scholarship, service, and extra-role behavior in their academic career.
The David Fearon - Juran Institute Scholarship
The legacy of Doc Fearon’s 30 years at Central is shown in the thousands of business learners whose transcendent experiences in his unique courses led them to expect and manage for business excellence. Celebrated, along with his retirement, is what all his students have meant to Connecticut enterprise in their own unique ways. The Fearon-Juran Managing for Business Excellence Scholarship extends his legacy with grants to students with notable promise to become indispensable to organizations focused on excellence sustained by quality management.
